Located on the south-east coast of Turkey, Icmeler is a resort built around the wonderful beach, perfect for sunbathing, swimming and water sports. It is just 5 miles west of Marmaris, which can be reached by the local dolmus service or a walk along the promenade to take in the glorious views of this impeccably clean and tidy resort.
The weather in Icmeler can range between 13°-20° in the winter and 25°-36° during the summer, and there are a great number of restaurants, cafes and bars offering ice cold drinks, local and international cuisine.
The great thing about Icmeler is the relaxed atmosphere during the day and a few bars and restaurants, karaoke bars and one disco to entertain you in the evenings. Yet Marmaris is just a short dolmus ride away for those crazy nights out, giving you the best of both worlds.
There are plenty of shops in Icmeler, selling all the latest fashions such as clothing, shoes and leather goods in the boutiques, while for those looking for good cheap souvenirs there is the market every Wednesday. When it comes to eating, the restaurants cater for every taste, from excellent local Turkish food to international cuisine from all over the world and fast food outlets.
From the beachfront or the hotels, you can book up for an assortment of water sports, as well as a number of historical excursions and day trips.
