Located on a peninsula and sandwiched between two stretches of golden beach, Side has the best of both worlds. The spectacular ruins of the ancient city and the modern shops, restaurants and late night bars make Side the perfect choice for the holiday with something to suit everyone.
As well as the two stretches of beach there is a sandy cove right in the resort centre as well as the wonderful beaches of Kumkoy, Colakli and Sorgun, which are all a short walk or taxi ride away. The weather in Side can range in the winter from 15°-21° and 24°-35° during the summer months, making it perfect for the many water sports on offer. There are some fantastic restaurants around the harbour front and the narrow cobbled streets of the Old Town, where you can find everything from international cuisine to exquisite local dishes. As the sun goes down, Side comes alive with it`s many bars, cafes and even a few open air discos, enabling you to dance the night away. The easiest way to explore Side is on foot, as the town itself is compact and the centre is a pedestrian-only zone in the evenings. There are also plenty of taxis and dolmus buses available if you wish to explore further a field and visit the marvellous ancient sites.

In the centre of Side you will find the magnificent 2nd-century Roman theatre with beautiful views towards the sea, and the remains of the Roman Baths are well worth a visit, as are the 2nd century temples to the sun god, Apollo, and Athena, goddess of wisdom and patron of Side, which are perfect for watching the sunset by.
