Located in the centre of the Bodrum Peninsula, the name Ortakent means middle town and from this lovely resort, a short walk will find you stretched out on the golden sands of Ortakent Yalisi, which runs into Yashi Yali, a 2km stretch of sandy coastline dotted with restaurants and bars.
Weather wise in Ortakent you can expect temperatures of between 14°-19° during the winter months and 25°-35° in the summer, just right for sunning yourself on the beautiful beach and taking a dip in the clear sea waters to cool off. Nightlife in Ortakent consists of a few bars, cafes and restaurants where you can sample the delicious local cuisine, such as `Kofte` meatballs, juicy kebabs with salad and yoghurt, meze dishes and freshly caught fish meals in a spicy `mojo` sauce. If you are looking to party all night long then head to nearby Bodrum or Gumbet, here you will find plenty of bars, nightclubs and discos.
