The relaxing resort of Gumusluk is one of the oldest on the Bodrum peninsula, located on the site of the ancient city of Myndus which collapsed into the sea and today provides spectacular snorkelling conditions. Beaches and coves along the coastline are a mixture of sand and pebble, and due to it`s archaeological heritage Gumusluk is protected from development with the centre being traffic free.
The weather in Gumusluk can range between 12°18° in the winter and 23°32° during the summer months, making it perfect for relaxing on the beach and cooling off in the crystal clear sea. There are a number of restaurants and bars along the seafront to choose from, serving fresh fish and traditional Turkish cuisine as well as international cuisine, and the bars are excellent to enjoy a nightcap whilst watching the sun disappear over the horizon. Gumusluk is split into two bays by a small islet named `Rabbit Island`, which you can paddle out to when the tide is low. Here you will see the many rabbits grazing on it`s grassy shores.
