Estepona sits on the coast of the Costa De Sol, to the west of Marbella, and is full of traditional charm and a friendly atmosphere. The weather in Estepona can range between 17-20° out of season and up to 32° during the summer months, perfect for sunbathing and cooling off in the clear water.
The coastline around the resort of Estepona offers many sandy beaches; the main Estepona Beach is called La Rada, which is over 2km long, next to the busy marina, flanked by a lovely promenade. Around the harbour you will find many fabulous fish restaurants serving the catch of the day, as well as excellent upmarket cafes and restaurants offering international cuisine to suit all tastes. In the Old Town district of Estepona there are some wonderful Spanish tapas bars for you to sample the delicious local dishes. Estepona has a mixture of shops, from the fashionable modern boutiques in the Calle Real and Calle Terraza areas, to the craft and souvenir shops in the Old Town for those good cheap holiday souvenirs. Once the sun goes down, head for the marina or the Puerto Deportivo area for a good selection of discos, nightclubs and bars, although Estepona is not renowned as a lively resort.
