Benidorm has grown over the years to become the biggest and liveliest resort on the Costa Blanca, popular with everyone, from couples and families to the young and lively crowd, looking for that holiday party hotspot.
The temperature in Benidorm can range between 17-21° out of season and up to 31° during the summer months, perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the crystal clear sea. The two beaches, Poniente and Levante, are long stretches of golden sand, gently shelving into the water, south-facing and sheltered by the backdrop of mountains.
When it comes to eating in Benidorm there is something to suit everyone`s taste. Spanish tapas bars sell traditional cuisine, restaurants and cafes galore serve international dishes and fast food meals and fresh fish is also a local favourite. After eating you can dance and party the night away with a great choice of bars, discos, nightclubs, cabaret shows and even try your hand at karaoke.
The Old Town, with it`s narrow streets, is packed with shops and boutiques, bazaars and stalls selling ceramics, lace, leather ware and handicrafts, great for strolling around. Benidorm makes a fantastic base from where to book onto a number of excursions and day trips.
