Located just 5km from Corfu Town is the resort of Kanoni, with spectacular views over Chalkiopoulis lagoon and the famous Pontikonisi (Mouse Island). The oldest church in Corfu, the famous Paleopolis Basilica, stands opposite the majestic 19th century Mon Repos estate.
There are a few coffee shops dotted around to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by and the casino is the place to go for a night out in Kanoni. Corfu Town is easily accessible by local bus or a cheap taxi ride, if you want to shop all day and party all night long.
