The holiday resort of Dassia is located on the east coast of the island, 9 miles north of Corfu Town, and is popular with younger couples and groups, looking for a lively resort and plenty of activities. A picturesque walk along the coast from Dassia will find you in the equally lively resort of Ipsos, or just hop on the regular local bus service to Gouvia and Ipsos for a change of scenery.
The temperature in Dassia can range between 14-21° during off season and a lovely 25-32°, perfect for sunbathing and cooling off in the gently shelving, calm water. In the evening there is a great choice of restaurants, tavernas, pizzerias, snack bars and beach bars to choose from, offering traditional local cuisine and international dishes, including British meals. Bars and discos are plentiful in Dassia for you to party through the night, though if you want to enjoy a few quiet drinks there are a number of traditional tavernas. Beach shops, mini markets, leather and jewellery shops line the main road, although a bus trip to Corfu Town makes an enjoyable day out shopping.
