Greece Holidays
Whether you visit the Greek mainland or one of the many Greek islands, you will be startled by the beautiful scenery, picturesque villages with cobbled streets and whitewashed walls, fantastic beaches and ancient sites and ruins. Mainland Greece has many wonderful beaches and is filled with historical temples and ancient sites, such as the world famous Acropolis with the Parthenon in Athens. To the north of mainland Greece you will find Halkidiki and Thessalonika, good for shopping and delicious local cuisine.
Although there are far too many Greek Islands to list them all, you will find something for everyone on each and all. Zante, Mykonos and Rhodes have some great resorts for family holidays, whilst also having the option of a buzzing nightlife scene. Mykonos and Lesbos are popular with the gay communities and Skiathos and Kos offer family holidays as well as lively nightlife resorts. Kefalonia, Corfu and Crete all boast stunning resorts, beautiful beaches and crystal clear seas. If you are looking for a romantic holiday with some of the most spectacular sunsets in the world then try Santorini.
For a more traditional and peaceful Greece holiday, head to Samos, Thassos or Lefkas.
