Situated close to Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island, Santa Ursula is the perfect base for island hopping. You can start in Santa Ursula on Tenerife exploring the cultural, historical and rural scenes and sights of the north, including the nearby Orotava Valley, then ferry across to La Gomera to visit the Garajonay National Park or even head over to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for more cultural tours and superb museums.
There are a good choice of hotels in Santa Ursula and the charming centre has a 17th century church, shops and restaurants in the squares offering local and international cuisine. There is an excellent local golf course and lovely sandy beaches. The weather in the north of Tenerife is not as hot as it is in the southern resorts, yet is still very warm in the summer months making it a popular holiday choice for those looking for a relaxing holiday with plenty of beautiful sites to see.
