Located on the south west coast of Gran Canaria, Puerto Mogan is a beautiful fishing port with narrow alleyways, colourful houses and a lovely marina. It is nicknamed `Little Venice` for the beautiful little footbridges criss crossing over the canal running through the resort, and the harbour front is home to wonderful bars, cafes and restaurants selling local and international cuisine. The high cliffs behind Puerto Mogan give shelter to the small black sand beach which gently slopes into the beach.
Even though there are a good number of small bars, Puerto Mogan is quiet at night with locals mixing with holiday makers to enjoy a drink. The marina has a host of small boutiques and souvenir shops.

Fantastic Restaurants

You can sit at one of the restaurants on the harbour front in Puerto Mogan, looking out across the boats, and sample some of the wonderful local cuisine, such as `morena frita and papas arrugadas`, which is fried morena fish served with succulent potatoes baked in their skins with salt.
