The largest resort in Gran Canaria is Playa Del Ingles, full of shops, bars, restaurants and night clubs, and a beautiful long sandy beach complimented by the mass of sand dunes. Located on the southern tip of the island it enjoys all year round sunshine, with temperatures in the winter ranging from 19°-23° and the summer months between 26°-32°.
It was developed in the 1960s and has grown over the years, attracting couples and families for the daytime activities and the younger crowds for the non-stop nightlife. There are plenty of shopping complexes and restaurants serving a mixture of local and international cuisine. Away from the relaxation of the beach there are heaps of activities to keep all age`s occupied whether on land or on the water and the promenade behind the beach offers cafes and bars selling ice cold drinks to quench your thirst in the glorious sunshine.
