Located on the north-west coast of Menorca, next to Cala`n blanes, lies the beautiful medieval port of Ciudadela, with it`s charming narrow, cobbled streets leading away from the picturesque harbour. Once the capital of Menorca, Ciudadela is now a vibrant city filled with historical architecture, having retained it`s Spanish traditions.
The lovely sandy beach of Cala`n Blanes is just 2 miles south, while just to the north you will find Binimel-la, which boasts the best beaches on Menorca. The Ciudadela weather can range between 13-19° out of season and up to 30° during the summer months. When it comes to eating, Ciudadela is well known for it`s great choice and variety of restaurants. Whether you fancy international cuisine to suit all tastes, freshly caught, fish dishes or delicious Spanish local delights, Ciudadela has the lot.
